Willis, known as the D-Train, will continue as a studio analyst on Fox Sports and Fox Sports 1. He joined Fox Sports 1 as a studio analyst on MLB Whiparound in April 2015. He filled in as a Los Angeles Angels game analyst for several games on Fox Sports West in July 2018. Willis worked as a studio analyst on Oakland A's telecasts at NBC Sports California during the 2020 season.
He was named National League Rookie of the Year in 2003. Willis helped the Marlins win their second World Series title in franchise history. He played his first five seasons in majors with the Florida Marlins and was traded with Miguel Cabrera to the Detroit Tigers in December 2007.
