Sam Reinhart Hat Trick And Panthers Take Flyers

     Sam Reinhart scored a hat trick as the Florida Panthers knocked off the Philadelphia Flyers 6-3 at FLA Live Arena on Thursday night. It was the sixth career hat trick for Reinhart. Florida defenseman Petteri Lindbohm made his debut with the club. 
     It will be the Panthers final home game in almost three weeks. Florida will play their next seven contests on the road. The next time the Panthers participate in Sunrise will be March 29 against the Montreal Canadiens. 
     Florida(40-13-5) bolted out to a 4-0 lead during the first period. Carter Verhaeghe made it 1-0 at the 3:26 mark. The Cats added power-play tallies from Reinhart at 14:12 and 18:11. Verhaeghe increased it to 4-0 on his 20th goal of the campaign with 30 seconds remaining in the first. 
     Philadelphia(18-29-10) controlled the second period as they scored three times and trailed 4-3. James van Riemsdyk got his 13rd goal at 9:01, Cam Atkinson compiled his 21st at 12:23 and Travis Konecny converted on the man advantage for his 10th goal this season with 1:08 left in the second. 
     In the third period, the Panthers extended their lead. Anthony Duclair scored on the power play at 6:59 with his 24th goal of the season. Jonathan Huberdeau set a franchise record with his 63rd assist of the campaign, which broke his record from 2018-19.  
     Reinhart completed the hat trick into an empty net with 2:06 to go on his 22nd goal and made it 6-3. Huberdeau got the primary assist on the play, his fourth assist of the contest, and took the lead in the National Hockey League with his 82nd point this season.
