Marlins Have Players Sign Minor League Deals

     The Miami Marlins have signed several players to minor league contracts. It was expected with transactions unfrozen and clubs making player decisions following the end of the Major League Baseball lockout. 
     The most recognizable player agreeing to a deal was outfielder Roman Quinn. He played five of the last six seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies. Quinn was only involved in 28 games during 2021 and had a .173 batting average along with two runs batted in. 
     The Marlins allso signed other players to minor league deals. They included pitcher Shawn Armstrong, catcher Willians Astudillo and pitcher Jimmy Yacabonis.
