Heat Down Nets

     The Miami Heat held off the Brooklyn Nets 113-107 at Barclays Center on Thursday night. The Heat now lead the Eastern Conference by 2 1/2 games over the Philadelphia 76ers and Chicago Bulls. 
     Brooklyn(32-32) got out to a 35-23 lead at the end of one quarter and led 67-60 at halftime. Miami(42-22) took over to begin the second half and were ahead 88-84 after three quarters. The Heat extended it to a 12-point lead at 109-97 with 4:21 left in the fourth quarter. 
     Bam Adebayo led the Heat with 30 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. They had bench scoring as Tyler Herro had 27 points while Caleb Martin added 22 points. Max Strus was able to place in 21 points. 
     Kevin Durant had a game-high 31 points for the Nets. Bruce Brown dropped in 21 points and former Heat player Goran Dragic scored nine points in 28 minutes of play.
