Johnson was signed by the Dolphins during the middle of the 2021 NFL season and had an impact. He had 71 carries for 330 rushing yards and three touchdowns in five games.
He played high school football with the Miami Norland Vikings and captured a FHSAA Class 5A state title in 2011. Johnson later attended the University of Miami for three years. He participated with the Cleveland Browns from 2015 to 2018 and the Houston Texans from 2019 until 2020.
