Lamarcus Joyner Staying With New York Jets

     Former local high school defensive back Lamarcus Joyner has re-signed with the New York Jets. He played just one game for that organization last season and was placed on injured reserve. 

     Joyner played his first three years of high school football with Southwest Miami and his senior year in 2009 with the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders. He later attended Florida State University and helped them capture the 2013 BCS National Championship. 

     He was drafted by the Rams in 2014 and played his first five NFL seasons with that organization in St. Louis and then in Los Angeles. Joyner was on the 2018 NFC Championship squad. He was with the Raiders in Oakland and Las Vegas back in 2019 and 2020
