Bravos Get By Fish

The Miami Marlins collected just four hits as they lost to the Atlanta Braves 3-2 on Tuesday night at Marlins Park. The Fish have six hits combined in their first two home games this season.
Atlanta(7-1) jumped quickly on the Marlins during the first inning. Andrelton Simmons singled to right field with one out. Two batters later, Evan Gattis bashed a two-run homer into center field off Wade LeBlanc on a 1-1 pitch for a Braves 2-0 lead.
Miami(1-7) picked up one run in the second inning against Kris Medlen and cut the lead down to 2-1. Greg Dobbs got to second on a fielding error and advanced to third on a Donovan Solano infield single. Rob Brantly followed with a sacrifice fly to left for Dobbs to score.
Both teams scored one run in the eighth inning. The Braves garnered a run at the top of the frame. Simmons got a lead-off infield hit and went to second on a throwing error by pitcher A.J. Ramos. Justin Upton then knocked in Simmons on a double to deep center.
Eric O'Flaherty relieved for Medlen and gave up one run to the Marlins in the bottom of the frame. Austin Kearns led off with a walk and went to second and third on ground outs by Juan Pierre and Justin Ruggiano. Giancarlo Stanton was intentionally walked and the Bravos paid the price when Placido Polanco singled to right field which scored Kearns for an Atlanta 3-2. Dobbs grounded out to end the inning.
LeBlanc fell to 0-2 as he gave up two runs on six hits and struck out five in six innings pitched. Medlen rised to 1-1 when he went seven innings and gave up one unearned run on three hits.
