The Miami Heat wrapped up their first-round series against the Milwaukee Bucks with a 88-77 win in game 4 at BMO Harris Bradley Center on Sunday. The Heat, who never relinquished the lead once in this contest, swept the Bucks in four straight games and await their future opponent at home in the Eastern Conference semifinals later this week.
Even though Dwyane Wade did not play, LeBron James put the Heat on his back with 30 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in 41 minutes. Ray Allen dropped in 16 points with seven assists as a reserve. Udonis Haslem came through with 13 points and five rebounds in 19 minutes of play. Chris Bosh had 10 points, four blocks and five rebounds in 29 minutes.
Monta Ellis showed up for the Bucks with 21 points and eight assists in 39 minutes. Two players came off the bench for Milwaukee as Mike Dunleavy got 17 points while J.J. Redick knocked down 10 points.
Miami scored the first six points of the game, led throughout the opening period and were up 24-17 after one quarter. The Heat expanded their margin up to 11 points early in the second period and led 45-41 at halftime.
Milwaukee stayed within eight points of Miami during the entire third quarter, but they were behind 67-62 after three quarters. The Heat scored eight consecutive points late in the fourth quarter and pulled ahead 88-72 with 2:41 left.
