640 Sports WMEN-AM has added Sal Licata as a New York Yankees baseball show pregame host at the station. He will appear on a 30-minute program prior to the start of the New York Yankees Radio Network pregame show with John Sterling and Susyn Waldman. The Big O Show with Orlando Alzugaray has his weekday afternoon shift shortened to three hours from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.
Licata currently co-hosts a show on MLB.com called Full Count and is a sports anchor on SNY in New York City. He has also co-hosted shows named The Wheelhouse, Loud Mouths and Daily News Live on SNY. Licata was once the afternoon producer for the Mike Francesa Show on Sports Radio 66 WFAN-AM and its television simulcast on MSG Network until he was let go in June 2010. He started his broadcasting career as an intern at WFAN.
