The Miami Heat picked up a 94-83 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks at American Airlines Arena on Tuesday night. It is expected that both teams will meet in the first round of the NBA playoffs in a couple of weeks. The Heat improved to 34-4 at home this season.
Miami(61-16) was led by LeBron James as he had 28 points, seven assists and seven rebounds in 30 minutes. Udonis Haslem added a double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds in 24 minutes. Ray Allen and Norris Cole contributed 11 points each as they both came off the bench.
Only one player for Milwaukee(37-40) scored in double digits as Brandon Jennings got 30 points in 36 minutes. Larry Sanders fell short of a double-double with eight points and nine rebounds in 30 minutes.
The Heat scored the first seven points of the game on a 15-4 push to begin the game. They were ahead 26-21 after one quarter. Miami had a 47-46 edge at halftime. The Bucks were outscored 24-13 in the third quarter and were down by double digits 71-59 at the end of the stanza. The Heat extended their margin up to 18 points as the Bucks only pulled within 12 points during the fourth quarter.
