LeBron James and Dwyane Wade sat out for the second consecutive game as the New York Knicks got by the Miami Heat 102-90 at American Airlines Arena on Tuesday night. Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks as he tied a career-high when he scored 50 points.
The Heat had their 17-game home winning streak snapped as they had not lost a home game since January 4 against the Chicago Bulls. Miami dropped to 32-4 at home this season.
New York((47-26) jumped out to a 11-2 lead and were barely ahead 27-25 after one quarter. Miami(58-16) scored the last seven points of the second quarter and led 58-50 at halftime.
The Knicks regained the lead late in the third quarter and were up 78-76 after the period. The game was tied 86-86 with 7:54 left in the fourth quarter. Miami would not score a field goal for the rest of the game as New York went down the stretch with a 16-4 run.
Chris Bosh led the Heat with 23 points and six rebounds in 39 minutes while Mike Miller added 18 points and eight rebounds in 37 minutes. Ray Allen contributed 16 points in 26 minutes and Norris Cole had 14 points. Raymond Felton picked up 10 points with nine rebounds and J.R. Smith had 14 points for the Knicks.
