640 The Hurricane Gain FAU Radio Rights

640 The Hurricane WMEN-AM has acquired the radio rights for Florida Atlantic University. The length of the deal is for five years. They will broadcast all football and men's basketball games. There will also be weekly shows with FAU head football coach Lane Kiffin and FAU head basketball coach Dusty May.
FAU broadcast rights have belonged to Good Karma Brands for 13 years. ESPN West Palm 106.3 WUUB-FM and ESPN Radio 760 WEFL-AM have broadcast games during that time.
Ken LaVicka will be retained and continue as the play-by-play announcer and radio voice of Florida Atlantic University. He has called FAU football since 2010 and FAU basketball since 2008. LaVicka replaced Dave LaMont and Evan Cohen for both positions.
