The ratings for sports talk format radio stations in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale market were released. None of the local competitors showed an increase of audience.
Sports Talk 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM did not change with a 0.9 in the period. The station was able to broadcast the NBA Finals along with their daily schedule. They have been on top or tied in first place for the last six months.
Miami Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM dropped from a 0.6 to a 0.5 in June. They depended on their daily lineup of talk shows and no radio game broadcasts in the month.
Miami Sports 940 WINZ-AM stayed at a 0.3 for the second straight month. The status of the Miami Marlins with the worst record in the National League did not deter their numbers.
640 The Hurricane WMEN-AM remained the same with a 0.1 for the fifth consecutive period. They continued to rely on nationally syndicated Fox Sports Radio for 17 hours during weekdays.
