Veteran defenseman Anton Stralman has signed a three-year, $16.5 million contract to join the Florida Panthers. He has played 10 seasons in the National Hockey League and compiled 47 goals and 195 assists in 749 games.
Stralman recently was with the Tampa Bay Lightning for five seasons and helped them capture the President Trophy last season and several Atlantic Division titles. The Bolts won the 2015 Eastern Conference title, reached the Stanley Cup Final and fell to the Chicago Blackhawks in six games.
He was with the New York Rangers for three seasons prior to that. Stralman got the Blueshirts to the Stanley Cup Final in 2014 and lost in the Stanley Cup Final against the Los Angeles Kings in five games.
