The Minnesota Twins got past the Miami Marlins 2-1 on Tuesday night at Marlins Park. It is a rare appearance by the Twins in South Florida.
Minnesota(65-41) moved to a 1-0 lead in the third inning. Byron Buxton smacked a solo home run to left-center field on the first pitch.
The Twins made it 2-0 in the top of the fourth. Miguel Sano connected with a double into deep center field which scored Eddie Rosario.
The bottom of the frame saw Miami(41-64) get on the scoreboard. Curtis Granderson doubled to the right-field wall for Starlin Castro to cross the plate.
