The Miami Marlins were pounded by the Minnesota Twins 7-4 at Marlins Park on Wednesday night. The score was not closer than it seemed as the Twins put up the first seven runs of the contest.
Minnesota(66-41) rocketed out to a 3-0 lead in the third inning. Garver ripped a three-run home run to center field on a 1-2 count. The Twins compiled four more runs in the top of the fifth inning for a seven-run gap.
Miami(41-65) got their runs in the bottom of the ninth. Brian Anderson blasted a grand-slam homer to center field on a 1-0 pitch.
