The Miami Marlins have traded relief pitcher Sergio Romo and pitcher Chris Vallimont to the Minnesota Twins for first baseman Lewin Diaz. Romo signed as a free agent with Miami prior to the 2019 regular season.
He pitched fine with the Marlins this year with 7.88 strikeouts per nine innings, 3.58 ERA and he converted on 17 of 18 save attempts. Romo won three World Series titles with the San Francisco Giants in 2010, 2012 and 2014.
