The Miami Marlins got a 3-2 walk-off victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Marlins Park on Friday night. It was the first contest of a four-game series between both clubs.
The Marlins got up 1-0 in the first inning. Neil Walker hit a sacrifice fly to center field and Miguel Rojas scored.
Arizona(52-52) compiled a couple of runs to take the lead. Zack Greinke doubled to left field in the top of the second for Adam Jones to cross the plate. Nick Ahmed grounded out to short which scored Jake Lamb during the fourth inning.
Miami(39-62) pulled off a comeback in the ninth inning. Jorge Alfaro drove in Yadier Rivera with a sacrifice fly to right. Harold Ramirez later knocked in Walker on a sacrifice fly to center field for the winning run and the walk-off victory.
