Dodgers Slam Marlins

The Los Angeles Dodgers shut out the Miami Marlins with a 9-0 victory at Dodger Stadium on Sunday. The Dodgers completed a three-game sweep of the Fish. The Marlins have fallen in 11 of their last 15 games.
Los Angeles(67-35) took a 2-0 lead in the opening inning. Max Muncy powered a two-run home run to left-center field on a full count as Justin Turner scored in front of him. It was the 26th homer of the season for Muncy.
They got another round-tripper during the bottom of the third. Joc Pederson belted his 23rd homer of the year to right field and Walker Buehler scored to make it a four-run lead.
The Dodgers increased their margin in the fourth inning. Kike Hernandez knocked in A.J. Pollock with a double to left. It became 6-0 in the bottom of the fifth when Pollock drove in Pederson on a base hit to left field.
In the seventh inning, Miami(36-61) surrendered three additional runs and were down by nine runs. Pollock muscled a three-run homer over the right-center field wall on a 3-2 pitch for Turner and Muncy to score.
