The Miami Marlins got past the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-1 at Marlins Park on Sunday. The Fish have been victorious in four of their last five games.
The Marlins raced out in the first inning to a 1-0 lead. Miguel Rojas smacked a lead-off home run to left-center field on a 1-2 pitch.
Arizona(53-53) evened it up 1-1 in the top of the second. Alex Anila drove in Nick Ahmed on a base hit into left-center field.
In the fifth inning, Miami(40-63) regained the lead. Rojas scored on a fielding error during a Harold Ramirez at-bat.
The Fish extended the margin during the bottom of the sixth. Brian Anderson homered over the left-field wall on the first pitch. Ramirez clocked a two-run homer on a full count to center with Neil Walker aboard in the seventh inning to make it 5-1.
