The Miami Marlins blanked the Chicago White Sox 2-0 at Guaranteed Rate Field on Wednesday night. The Fish finished the road trip with a 2-4 record. Miami(38-62) starting pitcher Zac Gallen picked up his first career victory.
Chicago(45-54) surrendered the only runs of the contest during the eighth inning. Cesar Puello connected with a two-run homer to left field on the first pitch for his first home run in a Marlins uniform. Harold Ramirez was able to score in front of him on the play.
