Peter DeBoer Gets 500th Win

Former Florida Panthers head coach Peter DeBoer picked up his 500th National Hockey League win on Tuesday night. The Vegas Golden Knights defeated the San Jose Sharks 3-1 in Las Vegas. DeBoer and his teams have appeared in the last three Stanley Cup Semifinals.
DeBoer got his first NHL head coaching opportunity with the Florida Panthers. He spent three seasons with the club from 2008-09 to 2010-11 and had a 103-107-36 record.
He joined the New Jersey Devils from 2011-12 until 2014-15. The Devils won the Eastern Conference title during his first season there.
DeBoer moved on to the San Jose Sharks and stayed there for five seasons from 2015-16 to 2020-21. He guided the Sharks to a Western Conference title in his first season.
After being fired mid-season by the club, he was quickly hired by the Vegas Golden Knights in 2020-21. He has helped them reach the Stanley Cup Semifinals in the last two years.
