Major League Baseball Eliminates Games

Major League Baseball has eliminated all regular season games for the first week of the 2022 regular season. None of the contests will be made up. All 30 teams will now play up to a maximum 155 games this year.
The decision made by MLB will slightly impact the Miami Marlins club. The Marlins was to open their 2022 campaign at home for the first week with six games. They were to face the defending World Series champion Atlanta Braves from March 31 to April 2. The Marlins were to take on the Texas Rangers from April 4 to April 6.
Miami will now open the 2022 campaign at the San Francisco Giants from April 8 to April 10 followed by visiting the Los Angeles Angels on April 11 and April 12. Due to the change, the Marlins will have their home opener on April 14 against the Philadelphia Phillies.
