Dolphins Squeezed By Titans

The Miami Dolphins fell to the Tennessee Titans 28-27 at Hard Rock Stadium on Monday night. The Dolphins, who lost their first home game this season, could not leap by the Baltimore Ravens for the top seed in the American Football Conference.
Miami(9-4) jumped out to a 7-0 at 8:25 of the first quarter. Defensive lineman Zach Sieler intercepted a pass and returned it five yards for a score.
Tennessee(5-8) evened it up 7-7 with 6:53 remaining in the second quarter. Running back Derrick Henry smashed through the right side of the line and reached the end zone from one yard out. The Titans took a 10-7 lead with five seconds to go as Nick Foles booted a 28-yard field goal.
Both clubs exchanged field goals in the third quarter. Jason Sanders tied it up for the Dolphins 13-13 at the 12:41 mark with a 31-yard field goal.
The Fins pulled in front 20-13 with 5:34 left in the fourth. Running back Raheem Mostert went through the left side of the line and scored from three yards away. Mostert would add a five-yard touchdown run around the left end with 4:34 remaining for a 27-13 Dolphins advantage.
The Titans cut it to 27-21 with 2:40 to go in the quarter. Quarterback Will Levis found wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins in the front of the end zone on a three-yard touchdown pass. They followed it with a two-point conversion pass to wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine on the right side of the end zone.
Tennessee reclaimed the lead 28-27 with 1:49 left in the fourth. Henry shuffled to the left side of the end zone from three yards away for his second touchdown of the game.
