Broward County ended up with two state titles. The Chaminade-Madonna Lions dominated with a 56-0 shutout victory over the Clearwater Central Catholic Marauders in the FHSAA Class 1M state title game. The Lions picked up their third straight state championship. It was their sixth state title in the last seven years and their eighth state crown overall. The Lions extended their winning streak to 38 games and finished as the only undefeated high school in Broward County this year.
The St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders defeated the Homestead Broncos 31-28 for the FHSAA Class 3M state championship. STA became the first Florida high school to win five consecutive state titles. The Raiders increased their overall total to a state-record 15 FHSAA football championships. They have captured eight state titles in the last 10 seasons and 12 state titles in the past 17 seasons. The Raiders have won 41 of their last 42 games.
Dade County was able to get one state championship in 2023. The Columbus Explorers became back-to-back champs as they doubled up the Mandarin Mustangs 38-19 in the FHSAA Class 4M state championship. The Explorers won their third state title in the last five seasons. The Miami Norland Vikings fell to the Berkeley Prep Buccaneers 28-20 in the FHSAA Class 2M state title game.
