South Florida High Schools In State Finals

     Five South Florida tri-county high schools will be playing for a 2023 FHSAA state championship next week in Tallahassee. The region had eight teams involved in the state semifinals on Friday. 

     Broward County went from four teams down to two as St. Thomas Aquinas and Chaminade-Madonna returned to the state finals. American Heritage and Monarch were defeated. 

     Miami Norland, Columbus and Homestand advanced to the state championship game making it three squads from Dade County. The only high school to lose in the state semifinal was Archbishop Carroll.
