St. Thomas Aquinas(13-1) will attempt to become the first Florida high school in FHSAA history to win five consecutive football state titles. In addition, STA looks to capture their 12th state crown in the last 17 seasons and a state-record 15th state championship. The Raiders have outscored their opponents 595-129 this year. They walloped Plantation 63-6 in the regional quarterfinal, shut out Blanche Ely 40-0 in the regional semifinal, blanked Coconut Creek 28-0 in the regional final and took care of Gaither 50-14 in the state semifinal.
The Raiders offense is led by quarterback Andrew Indorf. Their rushing attack consists of running backs Jordan Lyle, Justin Montgomery, Stacey Gauge and Tyrique Williams. Wide receivers James Madison II, Chance Robinson, Andreus Madison, Julius Jones and Ah'Mari Stevens. look to make receptions from Indorf.
Homestead(12-1) meets the Raiders in the postseason for the third straight year. They have outscored their opponents 457-200 this season. The Broncos defeated McArthur 52-27 in a regional quarterfinal, edged Southridge 35-33 in a regional semifinal, knocked off Miramar 22-17 in a regional final and held off Jones 42-35 in a state semifinal.
Quarterback Joshua Townsend will be the focal point of the Broncos offense with his passing and running. Running back Isaac Brown will get the bulk of the carries from the backfield. Wide receivers Cortez Mills, Kevin Cascuda, Fraquan Warren and James Randle are the primary targets for Townsend.
