Heat Get By Hornets

     The Miami Heat edged the Charlotte Hornets 116-114 on Monday night at Spectrum Center. It was a short one-game road trip for the Heat.
     Miami(13-10) held a 29-24 lead at the end of the first quarter. Charlotte(7-14) was down 59-50 by halftime. The Heat got their biggest lead of the contest 76-64 midway through the third quarter and led 89-77 at the end of the frame. The Hornets compiled a 20-9 run to begin the fourth quarter with were down 98-97 with 6:05 left. 
     Duncan Robinson chalked up 24 points and seven rebounds for Miami. Caleb Martin fell short of a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. Jimmy Butler had 23 points and eight assists in the victory. Terry Rozier led the Hornets with game-highs of 34 points and 13 assists for a double-double.
