The Florida Panthers ended a Western Conference road trip on Friday night and lost to the Calgary Flames 4-3 in a shootout at The Saddledome. The Cats finished the five-game road swing with a 2-2-1 record. They head home and begin a five-game homestand on Monday night against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Tom Gilbert scored his first goal as a Florida Panther at 15:14 of the first period to give Florida(6-13-5) a 1-0 lead.
Calgary(8-11-4) scored two goals during the second period to take the lead 2-1. Joe Colborne had an even-strength goal nine minutes into the period and Sven Baertschi following with a power-play goal at 12:04
