Boca Raton Stops Spanish River

     The Boca Raton Bobcats got by the Spanish River Sharks 14-6 on Monday night in a District 10-8A game. The contest was rescheduled from September 15 due to Hurricane Irma. The Bobcats, who beat the Sharks for the eighth consecutive time, had linebacker Hannah Pratt became the first girl to play a defensive position in Palm Beach County history.
     Boca Raton(3-2, 2-0) scored both of their touchdowns during the first half. Running back Predner Elmon rushed to the right side and scored from four yards away. Quarterback Michael Pratt threw a pass to wide receiver Deltavian Jenkins on the right hash marks for a 14-yard touchdown with 40.1 seconds remaining in the second quarter.
     Spanish River(1-4, 1-2) closed the gap to 14-6 with 5:26 left in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Connor Tribby connected a 30-yard touchdown pass up the middle to wide receiver Sam Burton.
