Timberwolves Get By Heat

     It  took overtime for the Minnesota Timberwolves to beat the Miami Heat 125-122 at American Airlines Arena on Monday night. The Heat, who have lost three straight games, finish their six-game home stand on Wednesday night against the Chicago Bulls.
     Miami(2-4) jumped out to a 32-23 lead after one quarter and barely were ahead 62-60 at halftime. Both clubs kept the game close in the second half as the Heat were up 82-79 after three quarters and the score was 110-110 at the end of regulation. Minnesota(4-3) outscored Miami 15-12 in overtime and got the victory.
     Dion Waiters had a team-high 33 points for the Heat while Kelly Olynyk added 23 points and Goran Dragic contributed 18 points. The Timberwolves had three players with at least 20 points. There were several double-doubles as Karl-Anthony Towns had 20 points and 12 rebounds while Jeff Teague put together 23 points and 11 assists. Andrew Wiggins compiled 22 points along with seven rebounds for Minnesota.
