West Palm Beach Ratings September 2017

     The West Palm Beach ratings were released. It was a down time with the impact of Hurricane Irma toward the South Florida region. ESPN West Palm 106.3 WUUB-FM was the first sports station in West Palm Beach that returned back to their regular format following the major storm.
     640 The Hurricane WMEN-AM moved from a 0.4 to a 0.5 in September. The station became the new affiliate of Miami Hurricanes football team and were hurt with two games being postponed. They did broadcast a Spanish-language music format on their terrestrial transmitter instead of sports for a week. The New York Yankees made their run toward a playoff spot.
     Sports Radio 1230 The Zone WBZT-AM went from a 0.1 to a 0.0 in the month. They were impacted as the Miami Marlins slipped out of the pennant race, even if Giancarlo Stanton continued to hit home runs on a hectic pace. The syndicated Jeff DeForest morning show was not heard live for over a week.
