Miami Ratings October 2017

The ratings for the Miami/Fort Lauderdale were released and Miami Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM finished as the top sports format radio station for the three straight month. All three competitors saw improvement in their numbers as they bounced back following the impact of Hurricane Irma in the previous month.
WQAM moved from a 0.9 to a 1.1 in the month of October. The Miami Hurricanes started the regular season undefeated, leads the ACC Coastal Division and beat Florida State in a rivalry game. The Miami Dolphins began the season with a bunch of non-divisional opponents.
Sports Talk 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM saw a bump from a 0.8 to a 0.9 in the ratings period. One benefit was that the NBA opened the regular season on the earliest date in 37 years and the audience could hear Miami Heat broadcasts earlier in the year than expected.
Miami Sports 940 WINZ-AM remained flat at a 0.2 for the fourth consecutive month. The station has moved on following the end of the Miami Marlins regular season.
