The Palm Beach Lakes Rams host the Dwyer Panthers at Dick Melear Stadium on Monday night in a District 13-7A contest. The game was rescheduled from September 15 due to Hurricane Irma.
Dwyer(2-2, 0-1) was upset at home by Olympic Heights 25-22 this past Thursday night. The Panthers find the rare occasion that they are in last place and have to catch up in the district. They played Class 8A schools earlier this year with wins over Park Vista and Palm Beach Gardens along with a loss to Atlantic.
The Panthers are led by quarterback Trevor Omans on offense. He will look for wide receivers Derrick Smith, Cephus Smith, Andrew Kasten, Rudy Antoine and Zephanijah Fletcher as targets. Their rushing game consists of Reggie Gadsen, Cedric Tucker and Bobby Armes.
After playing their first three games of the season on the road, Palm Beach Lakes(2-2, 1-0) returned home and won a district game over Royal Palm Beach 19-0 on Wednesday. They lost their season opener to Pahokee 6-2, blanked Lake Worth 28-0 and were shut out by Trinity Christian Academy 35-0.
The Rams lost many of their offensive skill players to graduation and Gurvan Hall transferred to Palm Beach Gardens. They have a strong backfield with quarterback Jalen Hall and running back Tanner Franklin.
