The Dwyer Panthers drive 15 miles south on I-95 and face the Forest Hill Falcons at Bobby Riggs Stadium in a District 13-7A game on Friday night. Both schools are battling it out for first place in the district with Olympic Heights.
Dwyer(4-2, 2-1) have not been as consistent and dominant in the regular season as they've been in previous years. The Panthers are coming off shutout wins over Palm Beach Lakes and Wellington in their last two games. They began the season interchanging wins and losses against their first four opponents.
The Panthers have a loaded backfield with running backs Reggie Gadsen, Cedric Turner and Bobby Armes. Quarterback Trevor Omans looks to connect passes down the field to wide receivers Derrick Smith, Cephus Smith, Rudy Antoine, Andrew Kasten and Zephanijah Fletcher.
Forest Hill(5-0, 2-0) is off to their best start since 1985 and remain undefeated. They have victories over Suncoast, Santaluces, West Boca Raton, Royal Palm Beach and Jupiter.
Darius McClendon is their quarterback and he will pace the Falcons with passes to wide receivers Carlos Diaz and Deshon Simans. They also have running backs Chaz Eaton and Ryan Edwards who can carry the ball.
