The Miami Heat played their 30th home opener in franchise history and topped the Indiana Pacers 112-108 at American Airlines Arena on Saturday night.
Indiana(1-2) had a 31-26 lead after one quarter. Miami(1-1) changed the momentum as they outscored the Pacers 37-19 in the second quarter, which included a 24-8 run, and were up 63-50 at halftime. The Heat stayed ahead 91-76 after three quarters and held on through the end of the contest.
Goran Dragic put together 23 points and six rebounds for Miami while Dion Waiters added 19 points. Victor Oladipo led Indiana with 28 points and Domantas Sabonis compiled a double-double with 18 points along with 13 rebounds.
