The Miami Dolphins have traded running back Jay Ajayi to the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday for a 2018 fourth-round draft pick. Ajayi was drafted by Miami during the 2015 NFL Draft in the fifth round. He compiled 187 rushing yards in his rookie campaign.
He was elevated to the starting running back position for the Fins early in the 2016 regular season as he replaced Arian Foster. Ajayi finished the 2016 season with 1,272 yards on 260 carries and scored eight touchdowns in 15 games for the club. He had 138 carries for 465 yards and no touchdowns in seven games this year with the Dolphins.
