The Miami Marlins were edged by the Atlanta Braves 6-5 on Saturday night at SunTrust Park. The Marlins have lost six of their seven games and 11 of 13.
Miami(68-74) got out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Giancarlo Stanton smashed a solo homer to center field on a 2-1 pitch for his major league leading 54th home run of the season.
The Marlins added three more runs in the top of the fourth. J.T. Realmuto tripled to left-center field and Marcell Ozuna scored. Brian Anderson followed with a base hit to right for Realmuto to score. Miguel Rojas later grounded out to short and Anderson crossed the plate.
Atlanta(63-78) mounted a comeback in bottom of the fourth. Johan Camargo ripped a two-run homer to left field on a 1-0 pitch. Ozzie Albies doubled to left field and Lane Adams scored.
The Braves would have the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth with the score tied 5-5. Ender Inciarte walked and Dansby Swanson came home for the winning run.
