The Philadelphia Phillies pounded the Miami Marlins 8-1 on Wednesday night at Citizens Bank Park. Miami(68-77) has lost four straight games and 14 of their last 16 games. Philadelphia(56-89) goes for the series sweep on Thursday.
The only bright spot for the Marlins was during the third inning when they tied the contest 1-1. Christian Yelich cracked a solo home run to center field on a 2-1 pitch.
