The Miami Marlins topped the Milwaukee Brewers 7-4 at Miller Park on Saturday night. The Marlins, who were designated the home team due to Hurricane Irma, ended a six-game losing streak with the victory.
Milwaukee(78-70) scored in the top of the first inning. Travis Shaw grounded out to second for Hernan Perez to score.
The momentum changed when Miami(69-79) put up four runs. Christian Yelich drove in Dee Gordon with a base hit into center. Marcell Ozuna followed with a single to right which brought in Giancarlo Stanton. Justin Bour then hit a sacrifice fly into center field that scored Yelich. Miguel Rojas capped the frame with a RBI-single to center and Ozuna scored.
The Fish made it 6-1 in the third inning. Derek Dietrich ripped a two-run homer to right field on the first pitch.
The Brewers went deep twice in the top of the sixth inning. Ryan Braun connected on a solo home run to right on a 3-2 pitch and Shaw nailed a homer to right field on a 0-1 count.
In the seventh inning, the Marlins got an insurance run. Gordon crossed the plate on a single by Bour to right field.
