The Miami Marlins overcame the New York Mets 5-4 in 10 innings at Marlins Park on Tuesday night. The Fish have won three of their last four games.
New York(65-86) scooted out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Jose Reyes hit a solo home run to right field on a 1-1 count.
The Marlins evened the contest during the fourth inning. Christian Yelich connected with a solo homer to left on a 2-1 pitch.
In the sixth inning, the Mets regained the lead. Travis d'Arnaud blasted a two-run home run to center on the first pitch and Reyes scored in front of him on the play. New York made it 4-1 in the top of the ninth when Reyes knocked in Phillip Evans on a base hit to right.
Miami(71-80) pulled off a comeback with three runs in the bottom of the ninth against former Marlins pitcher A.J. Ramos. Justin Bour smashed a solo homer to right field on a 2-2 pitch. A.J. Ellis drove in J.T. Realmuto with a single into right field. The Fish tied the game when Ichiro Suzuki knocked in Brian Anderson on a base hit to left.
The Marlins got the victory in the 10th inning. Realmuto pounded a solo homer to left field on a 1-1 count.
