Hurricanes Dominate Duke

     The Miami Hurricanes went up to North Carolina and stomped the Duke Blue Devils 31-6 on Friday night. The Canes next face their cross-state rival the Florida State University Seminoles in Tallahassee next week.
     The Hurricanes put up two touchdowns in the first quarter. Michael Badgley kicked a 20-yard field goal to make it a 17-3 lead at 3:17 of the second quarter. Duke(4-1, 1-1) kicker Austin Parker made a 36-yard field goal with eight seconds left in the first half.
     There would be no more scoring until the fourth quarter. Miami(3-0, 1-0) quarterback Malik Rosier threw a 49-yard touchdown pass to Wellington grad and wide receiver Ahmmon Richards at the 11:13 mark. The Canes added one more score with 4:55 remaining as Oxbridge Academy and running back Travis Homer rushed for a touchdown from 40 yards away.
