Marlins pitcher Kyle Barraclough compiled his first career save as the Miami topped the Colorado Rockies 5-4 at Coors Field. The Rockies remain in front for the second National League Wild Card spot.
Miami(74-82) broke through with four runs in the fourth inning. J.T. Realmuto knocked in Marcell Ozuna with a base hit into center field. Miguel Rojas later connected with a three-run double to left-center field which scored Justin Bour, Realmuto and Derek Dietrich.
The Rockies attempted to get back in the contest during the bottom of the fifth. Charlie Blackmon drove in Alexi Amarista with a single to left.
In the sixth inning, the Fish made it a four-run cushion again. Rojas doubled again and this time to deep center to bring home Dietrich.
Colorado(84-73) got a run in on a ground out by Gerardo Parra to first in the bottom of the frame. They added two more runs in the seventh inning. Jonathan Lucroy belted a solo home run to left field on a 2-2 pitch. Four batters later, Nolan Arenado hit a sacrifice fly to center and Raimel Tapia crossed the plate.
