The South Florida Sun-Sentinel has named Matthew DeFranks as their new beat reporter on the Florida Panthers. He replaces Harvey Fialkov who covered the team from 2011 until August 2017.
DeFranks has covered Florida Atlantic University athletics since 2016. He becomes the sixth person from that newspaper to cover the Panthers in 24 years. DeFranks joins a list of writers from the Sun-Sentinel that includes Dave Joseph, Ray Murray, Michael Russo, Steve Gorten and Harvey Fialkov.
