The Miami Marlins were eliminated from the playoff race on Friday night. The club has not made the postseason since 2003.
The Colorado Rockies, who have the second wild cart spot in the National League, won their game over the Padres in San Diego 20 minutes prior to the end of the Marlins game in Arizona. The Fish lost their game to the Diamondbacks 13-11.
