Olympic Heights At Dwyer Preview

The Olympic Heights Lions visit the Dwyer Panthers at Blum Stadium on Thursday night in a District 13-7A game. The Panthers shut out the Lions 48-0 last year in Boca Raton.
Olympic Heights(1-1) had their best regular season in almost 15 years as they finished a close third place in the district last year. Head coach Chris Kokell surprised many as he left his position in late April for an evening sports host job at ESPN 106.3 WUUB-FM in West Palm Beach. Baz Alford replaced Kokell as the new head coach of the team.
The Lions had a long layoff due to the impact of Hurricane Irma and have not played a game since September 1. OH lost on the road to Boynton Beach 20-7 and then won their home opener with a 20-0 shutout victory over Spanish River.
Dwyer(2-1) comes off a tough road win over crosstown rival Palm Beach Gardens 33-25 last week. They began the season away with a 22-15 overtime win over Park Vista followed by a home defeat to Atlantic 21-12.
The Panthers have many options to use in the backfield with running backs Bobby Armes, Reggie Gadsen and Cedric Tucker. Quarterback Trevor Omans dictates the pace for Dwyer and can throw to wide receivers Derrick Smith, Rudy Antoine, Cephus Smith, Zephanijah Fletcher and Andrew Kasten.
