2022 FHSAA Playoffs Local County Breakdown

     The 2022 FHSAA Playoffs for high school football will begin later this week. All counties throughout South Florida will participate. 
     DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale will be the home to some of the FHSAA football title games for the second straight year. They will host the Class 4M, Class 3M, Class 2M, Class 4S and Class 3S state championships games in December. The venue did hold the Class 8A, Class 7A, Class 6A, Class 5A and Classi 4A state title contests in 2021. 
     There are 20 high schools from Dade County. Some of the previous state champions include Miami Central, Miami Northwestern, Booker T. Washington, Carol City, Columbus and Miami Norland. Others from that area are Miami Palmetto, Miami Jackson, Doral Academy, Gulliver Prep, Dr. Krop, Southridge, Homestead, North Miami, Belen Jesuit, St. Brendan, Archbishop Carroll, True North Academy, Westminster Christian and Palmer Trinity. 
     Broward County have three FHSAA state champions from last year and 21 high schools overall. Central Broward has St. Thomas Aquinas, American Heritage, Cardinal Gibbons, Blanche Ely, Dillard, Plantation, Western, Cypress Bay, Fort Lauderdale, Calvary Christian Academy and Pine Crest. Monarch, Coconut Creek and Marjory Stoneman Douglas are from North Broward County. The South Broward County high schools are Chaminade-Madonna, Miramar, Somerset Academy, West Broward, South Broward, Avant Garde and Pembroke Pines Charter. 
     Palm Beach County is represented by 15 high schools. South Palm Beach County has Atlantic, Boynton Beach, Santaluces, Boca Raton and St. Andrew's. The Central Palm Beach County area brings in Palm Beach Central, Wellington, Cardinal Newman, Benjamin, The King's Academy, Inlet Grove and Pahokee while North Palm Beach County consists of Palm Beach Gardens, Dwyer and Jupiter. 
     St. Lucie County has four high schools involved with Treasure Coast, Port St. Lucie, Centennial and John Carroll Catholic. Two of the three high schools based in Martin County will be involved in the postseason which are Jensen Beach and Martin County. Indian River County has one high school in the FHSAA Playoffs with Vero Beach.
