Dillard Spikes Fort Lauderdale

     The Dillard Panthers smashed the Fort Lauderdale Flying L's 45-20 at Otis Gray Jr. Memorial Stadium in a FHSAA Class 3M regional quarterfinal game on Friday night. It was the second game of the FHSAA Playoffs played in South Florida. Dillard will either host their crosstown rivals the Blanche Ely Tigers or the Dwyer Panthers next week in the second round. 

     Both Broward County high schools played in the new Class 3M District 11 during the 2022 regular season.  The Panthers shut out the Flying L's 35-0 on the same field back on October 28. 

     Dillard(7-3) ripped out to a 28-0 lead by halftime in tonight's playoff game. Fort Lauderdale(6-5) tried to make it a competitive contest as they trailed 31-13 after three quarters.
