South Florida High Schools In Regional Finals

     There were 17 South Florida tri-county high schools that advanced to the regional finals of the FHSAA Football Playoffs. 33 local teams were involved in the regional semifinals. 
     Palm Beach County high schools fell from seven to four. Palm Beach Central, Palm Beach Gardens, Cardinal Newman and Pahokee won while Atlantic, Boynton Beach and Benjamin lost. 
     Broward County dropped from 12 high schools to six. American Heritage, Cardinal Gibbons, St. Thomas Aquinas, Blanche Ely, Chaminade-Madonna and Miramar were victorious. Dillard, Monarch, Western, Marjory Stoneman Douglas, Calvary Christian Academy and Avant Garde Academy were defeated. 
     Dade County high schools moved down from 14 to seven teams. Miami Central, Miami Norland, Columbus, Homestead, Doral Academy, Palmer Trinity and True North Academy advanced. Miami Northwestern, Booker T. Washington, Miami Palmetto, Dr. Krop, Southridge, Archbishop Carroll and Westminster Christian fell.
