South Florida High Schools In State Semifinals

     There were eight South Florida high schools from the tri-county area that moved on to the FHSAA football state semifinals. 17 high schools from the local region were involved in the regional finals. 
     Palm Beach Central was the only Palm Beach County high school that went to the next round. Palm Beach Gardens, Cardinal Newman and Pahokee were all eliminated from the postseason. 
     Broward County fell from six high schools to three. St. Thomas Aquinas, American Heritage and Chaminade-Madonna were victorious while Cardinal Gibbons, Blanche Ely and Miramar lost. 
     Dade County dropped from seven to four high schools. Miami Central, Columbus, Homestead and True North Academy advanced. Miami Norland, Doral Academy and Palmer Trinity were defeated.
